Hello! I have purchased a rental for Wonder woman 1984. Usually if I rent or buy I am given an option to "send to skyQ box". This button has not appeared. How do I get my rental to the skyQ box? It's not appearing in my recordings on the tv. It's just there in my sky store when I log in. Also it says "Play" which when I press it it gives an error message along the lines that my account is at maximum capacity or something.
how do I get it to my box please?
TIA

Find out moreWhen you rent films on any device other than your Sky Q box then you can not send them to your Sky box as you can only do this with Buy and Keep films. To watch the film on your box then you need to rent it via the box and pay for it again as you will be charged for renting it via any other device.

It's not just annoying but it might also be illegal and in breach of Unfair trading regulations 2008. (3.3)
"Marketing communications must not mislead the consumer by omitting material information. They must not mislead by hiding material information or presenting it in an unclear, unintelligible, ambiguous or untimely manner."
As the info is hidden behind a link (which doesn't need acknowledgement before proceeding)
Very underhanded by sky.

I just had a look on the Skystore rental page for Tenet and it does say this on the front page - not hidden and not behind a link
"Ways to watch
Watch your purchases on up to four compatible devices and if you're a Sky subscriber you can send your Buy & Keep purchases to a compatible Sky box.
No internet connection? Download your Buy & Keep purchases to your device and watch them offline.
HD is only available on compatible devices."

Not on a mobile device it doesn't.
First you are greeted by all the purchase then a contracted expandable box area with a bit of info and a click link, nothing obvious about it not working on their primary device skybox pc browser experience may vary from browser on mobile devices. It would be like Xbox store allowing you to rent a game but you can only play it on windows pc or android.

It will take a while to upload but this is a screenshot from my iPhone 11 on the Tenet rental page
It says you can send to box with a Buy and Keep - and maybe that (sort of) implies you can't with a rental.
I do agree with you it should be clearer and I have suggested to Sky they should improve the clarity of the rules in a few areas

Sort of implies has no legal grounds in regards to them breaching that law.
