Sky store now download only?

I would like the option for Blu-ray purchase with the download reinstated ASAP even if it takes several months for Sky to provide the Blu-ray.   Right now I want to watch the movie and I want to own a copy on Blu-ray for the obvious reasons.  However I don't want to purchase the movie twice which is what I'm being forced to do and I will have to do that for any movie released online that I watch and want to own.

Just reinstate the service and we'll wait the longer lead time for the product.  Very preemptive and presumptive of sky to do this.  It just looks as though sky are using the current situation to make more money.

come on Sky, step up! You are taking the money off people  and charging the same amount but without the dvd option.  

I have made one purchase. The first and last!!

The film was £13.99. 

Currently £9.99 in shops.

£3.49 to rent on Google and £9.99 to purchase. We pay for a sky subscription and we're being charged over the top.  Trading standards next seeing as no one from sky has bothered to reply. 

My monthly subscription is double what some pay for Amazon Prime, Disney+, Netflix, Apple tv and Google combined and yet they have everything at a cheaper and more flexible rate.  Unless sky adapts now they'll be losing a lot of customers as people take the dishes off the wall.

Not quite @Suehelen - but see below 

not if when you bought it the offer was for just a digital download 

however - according to posts we have seen from a  Sky employee, once things get back to normal you are invited to contact Sky for a (presumably paid) upgrade to a DVD / Blu-ray. 

hopefully the upgrade fee will be fair

There shouldn’t be an upgrade fee we should be sent the dvd as I wasn’t notified about this so when workforce get back these should be sent to people who have bought them

I pre-ordered Star Wars on blueray was told by sky employee that I would still receive the blueray.Should have my blueray by the 14/04/2020 but not got yet hopefully get soon.

If you pre ordered a download plus Blu-ray @Totalwar2  Sky have said you will get the blu ray, but not until they are able to restart posting them out 

My guess is that all available staff are on the phone lines rather than packing and posting 

There may also be issues with supply chains but only guessing

just in case I wasn't clear, if you ordered the download plus DVD before they were suspended, then Sky have said they will post out the DVD as soon as they can

If you just ordered the download then that's all you bought - only guessing but I can't see why Sky would post out free DVDs if you only bought the download -  hopefully though the upgrade fee should be minimal 

just an a comparison- if you buy a download from Apple, that's all you get
