Re: Sky store now download only?
I understand the need to change during Covid-19 times but this change of policy means I won't buy from Sky Store during this period (and I was a very regular buyer) as I also want the Bluray. I liked the convenience of the digital download and typically seeing the movie a week before it was available in the shops and I even accepted the fact that the cost was a tad more than my local supermarket, but I also want the assurance of the physical disc as well. Crazy thing is that if this lockdown extends out for a period then people will be forced to cancel their Sky contract so what happens then; are all the movies lost? I'm going for the reassurance of the physical disc and going to by from my local Tesco or Amazon for now.
If sky were sensible they should IMHO kept the original methods in place and just told people the physical media shipment would be delayed for a while the Covid-19 lockdown is in place.
The only other way I would continue to buy is if the promised to later offer a media "backfill" option on the store; ie you by the digital media now and later you can just spend the extra (you would have originally paid) and Sky could ship out the media retrospectively when the lockdown lifts.

Re: Sky store now download only?
For quite a while now, the HD Digital price for new released movies has been £13.99, Digital + DVD was £15.99 and HD Digital +Blu-ray was £17.99.
The HD Digital price remains the same as it did before we had to remove the physical options.
Regards,

Re: Sky store now download only?
When we resume physical options, we are more than happy to discuss options to change the order to HD Digital + Physical where we can, if you contact us via www.skystore.com/contact once we're at the other side of this.

Re: Sky store now download only?
Sky
Are you confirming that once this is all over we will be able to 'upgrade' our purchase, pay the difference (around £2) and recieve the physical DVD copy. I understand the reason for not sending these out at the moment but you could still sell the physical copy but delay distributing it.
Thanks

Re: Sky store now download only?
If my sky box is changed or becomes unusable, will I lose my digital purchases?
As with others on this thread I have always gone for the digital + dvd purchase.

Re: Sky store now download only?
£13.99 for a digital copy is mental.
13.99 for a digital and DVD is more like it as you can get the dvd copy upon release for a tenner mostly.
I used to find buy and keep pretty reasonable, but not now. It's basically an extra 6 quid if going through sky to get it.
I was looking at getting Jumanji 2, sonic and rise of Skywalker for the kids and I to watch this week with the added bonus the dvd would be sent later.. however at those prices I've decided not to and wait for the DVD releases.

Re: Sky store now download only?
I would still keep an eye on it though cause I managed to order ready or Not with a dvd not long ago. I think they took that option off now but some of the movies will still have that option for a short amount of time so keep an eye open

Re: Sky store now download only?
I would also like more information on this, i keep reading that 'The HD Digital only prices currently on offer are the same as before.'. This isnt correct at all. A quick review of my bills for the past year up until now say I was paying 9.99 for digital only or 13.99 for digital/dvd?, They have been this price for ages. It is only past month that they have jumped to 13.99 for digital only.

Re: Sky store now download only?
was there an official price increase? I have never received anything advising of an increase in the past year, only this years april increases?. Checked with friends they have been all paying the same also, 9.99 for a digital copy or 13.99 for dvd/digital. The only time I have paid more for a digital or dvd release is for the early releases. Even more confused.

Re: Sky store now download only?
If I purchase a 'buy and keep' film, download it locally, can I burn it to DVD myself?
where would I find the download file on a Mac?
