I got myself a voucher to use from the Asda Pizza Offer -Free firm worth £5.49 to use on the Sky Store. I have the Sky Q system but also downloaded the Sky Store App on my LG TV.
On the Sky Store App on my TV I can see my £5.49 voucher in my account details and ordered my film which gives me 2 days to watch before it is removed.
my question is doesn't the App from the TV match up with my Sky Store on Sky Q? I can't see anywhere on Sky Q where it says I have downloaded the film and have the option to watch the second half of the film from there? There is also no option to see my total credit left that I have on my Sky Store account - where it shows this information clearly on the LG App?
any help/advice is appreciated

Oddly, any credit or RENTAL you have on an app is not transferable to your Sky Q box
The only things that are interchangeable between the two are "buy and keep" movies
So you can't spend credit on your Sky Q box, only online or on an app

It seems like we all have to gather around a mobile or laptop screen and count ourselves lucky, there seems to be no way in this modern age to watch this voucher via the sky store on your box at home. rip off imo.

I saw your post on a different thread and made some suggestions on that. Although you can't choose "send to box" on a rental - there are some limited options. You can download the Skystore app on to a recent LG TV, use a Chromecast or use a PC / Laptop with an HDMI output

This is a con! What is the point in offering a "movie night in" when the idea to me is that a movie night in is supposed to involve a TV!!! Totally disappointed with this! I wouldn't have wasted my time taking a picture of my receipt uploading it and then to wait for the code to find out it can only be viewed online! What a joke!

Do you have access to any of the options I mention above which would allow you to view on a TV
To be fair to the promoters of this - the front page of the terms does say
"The Sky Store Online Movie Voucher is worth £5.49, so you can choose a movie to rent and watch online or on the Sky Store app. The voucher cannot be used for purchases made on a Sky+HD box or a Sky Q box. Send to Sky Box’ is not available on rental titles. You can choose to pay extra for a Buy & Keep or Sky Store Premiere movie – these can be sent to your Sky Box."

I tried looking for the sky store app on my tv but no joy. I might be able to connect my laptop up via a hdmi and try it that way. It doesn't say anything about it being only online on the sign at Asda.

I can't read the small print at the bottom of the ASDA sign. I wonder what it says ?
The text I saw was on the site where you apply for the code
What TV do you have ? How old is it ?

Wouldn't really call this a "con"! Since 2 pizzas are £6 when purchased normally, and a drink is another couple of quid.
The movie can be set to "buy & keep" and there are further instructions from a sky employee if you Google "asda sky deal".

Surly it is on your sky account not the actual device you buy it from. I used the asda movie nights in code but couldn't add code on tv as it automatically charges my account. So I used my phone and now it is not showing on my sky q box. I'm going to re rent it and ask for a refund as that is absolutely ridiculous it doesn't get added to your account. Sky sort it out!

As you've discovered- rentals made on a "device" don't appear on your Sky box (and vice versa)
you can send "buy and keep" purchases from your device to your Sky box
If you have one - you can use a Chromecast to cast most rentals from your phone to your TV - or again - if you have one - you can use the Skystore app on an LG TV to play movies rented on a device
