Rented a movie on sky store.
It is unavailable on the skybox I have emailed customer services who have stated it needs to be viewed on a website or lg device, the information about this is hidden and in breach of Unfair trading regulations 2008. (3.3)
"Marketing communications must not mislead the consumer by omitting material information. They must not mislead by hiding material information or presenting it in an unclear, unintelligible, ambiguous or untimely manner."
The link did not need tickbox consent of acknowledgement and is hiding important information to customer's.
No other company I know of sets their store purchases locked onto a device they have hidden from customers knowledge behind other links, hiding terms behind links that don't have to have tickbox consent is illegal.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreHi @AlfaDave
I noticed your comment on a different thread - and just had a look at the Skystore rental page on my iPhone (I looked to rent Tenet). and it does say on the main page - not behind a link
Not perfect perhaps but does say that Buy and Keep can be "sent to box". I do agree it could go further though
"Ways to watch
Watch your purchases on up to four compatible devices and if you're a Sky subscriber you can send your Buy & Keep purchases to a compatible Sky box.
No internet connection? Download your Buy & Keep purchases to your device and watch them offline.
HD is only available on compatible devices".

I understand (but of course I have nothing to do with Sky) that not allowing the sending of rentals to your Sky box is just part of a restriction on Sky's licencing agreement with the distributor

On mobile devices on sky store it doesn't directly state like that, info is hidden behind an expandable info area and then another level click hyperlink.
Also image is not viewable that you posted it's just a triangle icon

showing the collapsed info area

Showing the click link and in that click link is the only info to do with it not working on skybox.

By the definition of the Unfair trading regulations 2008. (3.3)
Sky are breaching it by making it very unclear unless you go down depths to find the info.

You're saying you have to click on the expand triangle to read "ways to watch"
I don't disagree

You need to first expand the box ways to watch, then when you get into that area it doesn't state it won't work on skybox unless you then click on a hyperlink where it then explains.
I only found that out after customer services told me.
It's seriously unclear that they wouldn't state it directly and boldly that you need to purchase directly from their skybox to view on the skybox.
