Playback on Battlestar Galactica stops when I turn off primary monitor

I have Sky store running on my secondary monitor. The playback stops when I turn off my primary monitor.

This is what shows up if I try to start playback with my primary monitor turned off.

I think you have answered your own question, if your secondary monitor is not connected via a HDMI cable then it might not playback and even if it is to stop this from happening it will need to be turned on.

Update:

This happens regardless of which monitor is set as primary and which is set as secondary.

Please fix the dodgy anti-piracy code you have set up. DRM always and exclusively penalises those who have legitimately paid for media and has no impact whatsoever on people who pirate it.

Learn the difference between HDCP, which is DRM software, and HDMI, which is a hardware specification.

@caesaromeThe problem is with Sky's software. I cannot fix it myself.

How rude @CuAnnan

The forum isn't a way of contacting Sky. It's a way of asking for advice from other Sky customers.  Very few posts are read by Sky employees so you are just being rude to fellow customers who are trying to help you.

Incidentally - the customer you are being rude to - knows this stuff inside out.

it might be better for you to raise your concern directly with Sky by email using

hope you get a good response

Re: Playback on Battlestar Galactica stops when I turn off primary monitor

@mike+simmondsIf he knew this stuff "Inside and out" he would not have brought up HDMI, the problem is with HDCP.

The problem isn't on my end, it's on Sky's.

Telling someone who has offerend non-advice to learn the difference between what is the problem (HDCP) and what is not the problem (HDMI) is not rude. It might be a little frustrated, but being told "Hey, have you tried filling your electric car with petrol" is kinda infuriating.
