Insufficient credit for a free movie!?

I have been trying to rent scrooged for free as per recent offer but it says I have insufficient credit on my viewing card.

1) Don't understand why it thinks I have insufficient credit.

2) Rental is free so what difference does it make?

Hi @ASutton

On the forum we often hear of this or similar

Logically I know a free movie should not need any credit to be present on a Skystore account- but in practice what happens is if a credit limit has been set or reset to £0 then customers aren't able to rent even a free movie.

The fix is thankfully quite easy and my suggestion is that you try a live chat with the Skystore team (next open at 11am) to agree a credit limit for future purchases and hopefully that will open up the free movie.

I sometimes wonder if a credit limit of £0.01p would work but I guess somewhere in there Sky are hoping you will rent / buy movies in future.

Hope this helps and works if you try it
