Hi @Freddie88
If I haven't pressed play (or haven't been able to because of the format) you will not be charged.
To rent in SD/HD instead, you first need to completely remove the Ultra HD download.
Go to Recordings and then Rentals and select the title. Choose Delete.
Now go to Recordings then Manage then Deleted and select the title in the list. Choose Delete forever.
Once deleted from rentals and the deleted section, you can go into Sky Store and select the title again, choosing one of the other formats.

I can delete in recordings as the options are cancel download or delete. But once deleted I can not find it on manage to delete forever. Or download in different version. Thanks

Are you on Sky Q ?
Have you located the manage section at the bottom of your recordings menu
Inside that, one of the options is "deleted"
Your deleted rented movie "must" be there ? 🤔
That's where you should delete it forever from
any good - or is it not there ?

If I already rented a film in UHD and I dont have the format, would I get a full refund?

If you don't have a UHD TV then the movie can't have started to play - so you won't be charged
Just delete the UHD download - delete it again from your deleted items - then repurchase the format you prefer
