How do I watch a rented film on sky box

I assume you mean a rental that you arranged on Skystore online / app

The only ways I know are :

A recent LG TV can download a Skystore app

Chromecast - or a recent Sony TV with built in Chromecast

A laptop or PC with an HDMI output
