How do I move my digital movies to my server

Hi,

I've purchased a number of movies over the years from sky store, which are available to watch on my sky box and other devices using the sky movie app, but now I would like to save them all to my server along with my 500+ movies, so that all the family can watch them without using the sky store app whenever and wherever they are on any device connected to my network.

You can't as you will need to use either the Sky Store app or login to the Sky Store website to access them as you can't move them to the hard drive of a server to access.

@Grumpy889

Transfer of files is specifically ruled out by the T&Cs, and as @caesarome indicates wouldn't achieve anything because they remain encrypted and tied to playback only within an authenticated Sky hardware/software environment.

b. You mustn't attempt to transfer Content to any unauthorised Devices, or attempt to access the Services or Content via any media or device other than the Device(s) you have registered, or your Box if applicable, in the ways expressly permitted by these Terms.

The term 'Buy and Keep' is somewhat problematic in this respect: you're 'buying' an ongoing right to play files under the circumstances which Sky permits, rather than ownership of the data itself.
