Free voucher to redeem movie

Was sent a email with a code to redeem a free movie, went through process but got an error at the end, tried again and was told code has already been used but we have no movie!

Who sent you this code?

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own even if you don't like the answers

And which site did you log into to "redeem" it? Sounds like a potential scam.

If was a congratulations email from SKY for another year as a diamond VIP, usual Sky email address.

There have been other similar reports with a suggested solution offered by Sky to another customer. 

have a look here and the suggestion from @caesarome to chat to Skystore support looks to be the way to achieve it

The "from" address on an email can be easily spoofed so never trust that. Always double check the site any links take you too is the one it should be and not a lookalike clone. Password managers like those on phones or apps & browser plugins  like 1password / lastpass are very good because they won't enter your details into a spoof site and remember all your logins as well as generating secure passwords for you.

 

sounds like this one is probably legit though.

Spoke with Sky and told you have to redeem from the to and because I used my phone the offer has gone and no chance to get back and they won't offer another code. Completly useless response from the sky team as it doesn't tell you that you have to redeem in the tv!

Coffee sent by Sky as another year passed as a VIP member. Have to redeem on the TV, although it tells you to use the app and because I used the app voucher note invalid. Told by Sky advisor that no chance of getting a new voucher so gave bad review to customer service as instruction not clear.
