I recently rented Downton Abbey a New Era.
Having been very naive thinking Sky would have sorted the sound problems from the first Downton Abbey film I found that yet again, it was speeded Up and the actors voices weren't right.
it was that bad that we stopped after 30 minutes and watched it on Amazon instead.
Ive challenged Sky on this and they have been very rude in their responses. Ultimately, Refusing a refund and saying I'm at fault. Has anyone else had the same issue and managed to get a refund?
Very poor show from Sky!

This film was unwatchable. I had to purchase from Amazon where the actors didn't sound like they had taken helium. Please refund me I'm disgusted.

Sky - I've just rented Downton Abbey A new era. What is it with Downton Abbey films? Why have you speeded them up so the running time is 6 mins shorter and at times the characters sound like they are using helium.
I would have thought after the problems with the first film, you'd have sorted this out by now! It really isn't good enough when people are paying their hard earned cash on these movies.

I have had the exact same problem with the first Downton movie. Very difficult to watch with the squeaky voices. Very off putting. It has put me off downloading the new one.

Ditto, it was ridiculous on sky, half the cast sounded like they were on helium! Took your advice and paid £4.99 to watch it on amazon instead!

This sound adjustment on Downton Abbey CH4 is a disgrace.. it probably violates copyright laws as it is not being played as recorded...

There have been many posts on the forum regarding this over the last year or so. Many customers have reported the same as you.
I don't have the movie to view myself but you are definitely not on your own.
The Skystore live chat is now open for today and my suggestion would be that you contact them to explain / request a refund if you wish.
