Hi
I have just paid for and downloaded Downton Abbey HD and the sound quality is awful. All of the voice sound like they have been sped up and are higher pitched then usual. It makes watching the film painful and we had to switch it off after 10 minutes.
I tried changing the sound output to DD to normal and also from 1080p to 1080i to 720p, but no different at all.
I cant see a way to complain to Sky about this as I think I should be entitled to a refund really.
Could anyone advise how to contact Sky online about this or if there is a remedy?

Out of interest do you have a decent tablet, laptop or an LG tv you can download sky store on - to see if it's a better download of Downton ?
Have a look at Sky Store – A quick guide for users

No unfortunately. We rented through Amazon in the end as we couldnt get it to sound and it was impossible to watch on Sky as a result. I will take it up with the online chat in the morning.
Thanks guys 👍

Last I heard @Perc42 is that Sky Store online chat was not working although people have been getting through on the phone lines

I'm so happy other people have mentioned this! They all sound like they are on helium! Did anyone get an answer? I have tried on both sky boxes a tablet and my phone.

Yes I said the same thing I kept pausing it and telling my hubby it sounded like they've been sped up and it's so high pitch!
i watched the trailer on YouTube and the voices sounded normal, then found this thread and decided to buy it on amazon and it sounded so much better. @Hal387

Did you get this resolved... just downloaded it and it's the same helium filled cast 🙈

No, I ended up downloading from Amazon and got a refund from Sky in the end.

I'm so glad I found this thread, ive just upgraded to have sky cinema specifically to watch downton abbey after finishing the series on prime. They all sound ridiculous! And it's all so fast and high pitched like its running on x1.5 speed. What a waste of my money.

We did the exact same... only reason we upgraded, I might ask to get a month refunded as it's £10 elsewhere to rent

I completely agree, I have just watched the complete box set of all of the Downton abbey series again, then decided to watch the film . The difference is so obvious, the characters voices are terrible in the film, they sound so weird, I noticed it straight away, I am gutted, it is really spoiling the film for me

It must be a problem with the Sky download version - surely theu would investigate this and correct it

This remains a problem - downloaded Downton movie from Sky Cinema in UHD/Dolby Atmos on a new Sky Q 2TB (ver 3) box on 25th September and voices are all over the place. It's bizarre and distracting.
