Re: Deleting a purchased film

Nobody is trying to gain anything. The people using this forum need to gain the ability to use brackets correctly, but besides that, the purpose of the original post was to delete not to gain.

Re: Deleting a purchased film

Actually I want to delete a purchased movie on my planner too, I am aware of digital rights but also as an adult i sometimes change my wants and get rid of things I have bought. It is ridiculous to not have the option to delete. It might have bad memories attached. For sky and some replying to be so arrogant in their responses shows a lack of common decency and manners. Not surprising that people are leaving sky in droves, sad and stupid policy.

I think all you can do is to get in contact with Sky Store support and see what they say with regards to removing the film from your account:

Go to your Sky Q app, press recordings on the bottom right, then delete.

@Nicola+Jay

That will not work for films that you have purchased though which was being discussed here.

They are not deleted, they are just archived.

Re: Deleting a purchased movie

I came here to see if there was a way to remove a film that sky gave away at Christmas time one year. I don't know why I even downloaded it because I actively hate the film. It's archived but every time I see it in my purchases it makes me want to poke my own eyes out. However after reading the judgey and unhelpful responses to the previous queries, I think I'll go sharpen that pencil.

All you can try @didi1978 is to get in touch with Sky Store support to see what they say.

They have a live chat you can use that is available from 11am-7.30pm each day and can be found here:

Morning @didi1978

@caesarome advice is definitely the way to go. I'm sure it can be done as I remember a successful request from over a year ago (although the reason for that request was more the movie 18 certificate rather than how annoying the content was)

 I do think you need to share your movie title with us though 🙂

Re: Deleting a purchased movie

@mike+simmonds It was Love Actually, actually *she typed through gritted teeth*. Remember when U2 put that album on our phones without permission, this is how I feel. Except this time I kind of am partly to blame as I did download it. People say "free gift" to me and I get a bit giddy. I don't think of the consequences. I have never even watched it as I saw it back in the day and hated it then. I mean, I've never watched Arthur Christmas or The Santa Clause since getting those free gifts either, but one year I might. But I can categorically say I will never ever watch Love Actually.

I share your deep and understandable concern over Love Actually  @didi1978 although I can cope with some of the Bill Nighy scenes.
