You don't delete them you Archive them so they are still available in your library to be redownloaded when required

Parental controls can be used to restrict viewing by the use of a PIN

Re: Deleting a purchased film

Hi, I don't even want it available to re-download. Surely I'm not the only person to want to remove a film entirely from my account?

As long as your 6 yr old doesn't know your pin they can't watch it. If they do know your pin, change it.

Them archive the movie and don't let him near the Purchase tab in the planner

Re: Deleting a purchased film

Still don't understand why I can't just delete it completly??!! So I don't have to think about it again! It's like I have to see a film on my tv that I don't want to forever just because I bought it years ago and now can't get rid of 🤷🏼‍♀️

As you purchased the film it can't be deleted as the digital rights to it belong to you so as stated the best you can do is to archive it.

To get around the issue in future use the store to Rent stuff rather that purchasing via "Buy and Keep" (the clue is in the name)

Re: Deleting a purchased film

Great thanks for the advise (it was purchased ages ago and not by myself)

Re: Deleting a purchased film

Definitely agree that there should be a delete option or at least an option to completely hide a movie on a device! I have this exact same situation

Re: Deleting a purchased film

If you own the digital rights to something you should own the right to delete it aswell.. Annie, the buy and keep thing means you buy a digital copy and get to keep a hard copy that is obviously difficult for someone like you to understand.

Buy and Keep also offer Digital only with no hard copy!

Re: Deleting a purchased film

I don't claim to be an oracle but I can read options on a screen thanks Annie. As an "oracle" do you know the point of being given a hard copy and being unable to delete the digital copy?

Even if you could delete it and delete the archive of it (which you can't), you wouldn't gain anything as it could be re-downloaded again from Sky Store as the system would know that you'd already purchased it.
