Will I be able to watch a HD film if I buy the HD option even though I don't have a HD subscription? I don't want to purchase it if it's then not going to let me watch it due to not having a HD subscription, thanks

You can purchase a Buy and Keep or rent a HD film without a HD subscription as this isn't required.
