Make sure that you delete the program from the Deleted section in Recordings - Manage.

The continue section is not quite as it seems - it is just a series of links rather than actual recordings
Personally I advise everyone to be very cautious in using it as it can often points to incorrect episodes & my advice is to only use the Most Recent section unless you know he Continue section contains the speciic episode/entry you want to continue
I have known it point to items watched and deleted or to the next episode when a previous one has not been completely watched or in some cases with ITV to the next episode when the next episode is not available, amongst other quirks
If you really want to try to delete the erroneous entry try going to
Home - Recordings - Manage - deleted & selct the episode you have deleted and select 'Delete Forever'
