i agreed a continuation of my package on march 7th this year which i have had for several years of the essentials plus F1 sports. on august 8th F1 was switched off. the first call i made the operative wanted me to upgrade and pay more for the same. didnt want to listen to my complaint telling me the current package was no longer available. then complained via the web form. had a call in less than an hour, she didnt help , passed me to sombody else who finally undestood. told me that i had been getting F1 free in all this time but would listen back to my call when i renewed and if the rep stated F1 was included then it would be switched back on. her words were after asking will i get it back for free? ' yes you would'. a week later the same lady called back only to state they would exempt me from my contract as they would not re instate F1 for free. this tells me the rep did state it was included and this is their get out clause. so they would rather lose a customer of 26 years than honour a contract. what can i do apart from cancelling?

'TV Essentials' plus F1 wouldn't be a legitimate combination. Was it either 'Entertainment' or 'Signature' plus F1 (either legacy or single channel)?

I was unaware it could be retained with essentials.
Regardless, there are reports of legacy F1 being dropped since the launch of Sky Sports+
