I'm not fan of watch tv much, but due to upgrade BBC to switch HD ready, I just want to a simple question to ask, can I just pay upgrade HD ready box simply to watch some news. all how much do I need
to pay a new contract.

hi @lyn24
If you upgrade to SKY Q then you are likely to enter a new 18 month contract - you may not need to pay more but you would need to discuss directly with SKY. (we are, primarily, just other customers here)
Although much of this may be a bit overwhelming, you may wish to read some notes I have made for people considering switching from SKY +/HD to SKY Q
Although there may now be a shortage of them you may be better looking for a second hand SKY HD box on ebay.
If you don't watch much TV depending on which channels you watch getting a Freesat box may also be an option.

Perhaps I'm misunderstanding you but if you have a Sky HD box already then you will get the free to air channels such as BBC News 24 now and wouldn't need a subscription at all, the HD box (if that is what it is) is yours to keep unlike a Q box (which has to go back at subscription end).
