Hi, I have upgraded to UHD. When I play other HDR (in TV) sources the TV recognises it and displays HLG HDR and display an outstanding picture (ie BBC iPlayer uhd test loop). When I play the uhd main event channel and watch the ashes for instance or download a UHD programme the TV does not pick it up in the same way. I would also argue that whilst the LG does say it is picking up 2160 resolution it looks nowhere near as good/bright as other UHD sources. I have ensured thr TV HDMI is switched to IOS displaying ultra Deep colour and thy box is set to UHD 10 but. Any support would be appreciated. I have also tried searching prior posts...

As above B0 is non HDR - hence why you cannot get HDR from your Sky Box. You will need to swap it our for a V2 or V3 box, for which Sky will probably charge you.

What model is the TV? Some of them can't get bright enough to display HLG properly (the format used by Sky for HDR) and this makes the picture look quite dark.

The model is C9 PLA and can display a good bright HLG HDR picture as demonstrated via other sources I.e bbc demo loop

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreWhat is the hardware version of your SKY Q box. If it is 32B0xxxx then it is UHD but not HDR
If it is 32B1xxx or 32B2xxx then it is HDR. If your tv is not recognising it as HDR then you might need to check all the settings for the HDMI.
I am afraid I don't know which ones other than the Deep colour

Hi, interesting my box is 32B063. Any ideas if this version of their box carries HLG? 😊 Thanks
