Hi for the last couple of weeks (and worse now) any tennis match I watch is constantly freezing for a few seconds. It restarts but it is practically unwatchable. Not sure if it is from the latest red button changes or because they are so many matches being played / shown of the US open. I have Sky Q and Virgin broadband which is very fast so don't think it is a broadband issue. Anybody having same issues

Keeps happening to me now watching football, and also when I was watching tennis earlier. Quite frankly this is not good enough, anybody have any ideas on any fixes?

I am going to email support and see what they say. Suggest you do the same - more people complain the better

Also experiencing this problem. I spoke to a very helpful lady at Sky in Bulgaria who seemed to think it was because I was using too much recording disc space. She advised usage is best at below 85%. So reduced disc usage to 79% and alas no difference. She did call me back and she said she would call me back next day and if it is still doing it she would arrange an engineer to come and check the Q box. It would seem though from other comments that this may not be a box problem but a Sky problem. There were not many problems when Amazon Prime had the tennis contract so for the hefty sum I am paying Sky for their service I am having to watch almost unwatchable tennis.

definitely a Sky problem. I wrote to support and waiting for reply. I will be prepared for the "too many recordings" comment.

Every stream is the same unfortunately but apparently there's a fix coming over the weekend because this is getting ridiculous

Excellent news- it's really spoiling the tennis

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreIt doesn't matter if you have 150Mb, 500Mb or 1Gb broadband if your wifi connection to the router is weak.
Could well be that the streaming tech itself has an issue though. Seen complaints about football too. Will be interesting to see if a fix is rolled out.

I've just contacted sky about the issue and after 10 minutes on hold I was told it's a broadcast issue. They also put £10 back into my account as compensation.

Maybe we should all complain and get money back.
i eventually got a reply that told me to ring the tech team so yesterday I did. He did mutter something about it being looked at but then we went through the download software loop, unplug box, disconnect wifi and reconnect. 35 minutes later I asked what next and the line although still connected , went quiet. Then nothing for 5 mintes so I ended the call. Watching one of the matches was exactly the same so I hope a fix is imminent. I just wish they would give you an honest answer when you ring up with a know problem. Going to respond to the email saying problem still exists. Hope the weekend brings a fix

I had that also then he told me he'd book an engineer so then I told him it's a sky and nothing my end as I know of many others that has the same problem. He put me on hold for ages then come back and told me it's a broadcast issue but never told me when it maybe fixed.
as I've read that a few others that has complained had something back I thought I'd try my luck and politely told him that for the price I pay this is not good enough so he told me that as it's 1 channel effected he'd put £10 back in my account.
give it a go yourself and get something back at least

I was advised I would be credited with £15 for my "trouble" but I have not seen it.
