how do i get in touch with someone with regard to doing this, ideally on the phone? ive phoned the customer service but am just stuck on hold music for ever. Ive been a customer for 20 years and find it disgraceful that I can't speak to someone. can i at least speak to an actual person in online chat instead of some useless bot?

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreThe less busier times to call are reportedly when lines open at 7.00am or after 9.00 pm. When asked why you're calling say 'cancel'. The cancellations team are the best people to speak to for negotiating a new deal (and obviously for cancelling).

To call Sky dial 150 (free) from a Sky Talk landline or a Sky mobile or alternatively use the following link which will hopefully lead to contact details including a phone number:
https://www.sky.com/help/home
UK customers: Scroll down and click on ‘Need more help’ leading to a 0333 number.
ROI customers: change the flag in the bottom right corner of the link to the ROI flag then scroll down and click on ‘Need more help’ to see a dedicated ROI number.
Alternative means is through the Sky Virtual Assistant on the same page - depending on your query, which can connect you with a live agent virtually if necessary.
