new tennis channel - without having to subscribe to full sky sports
I can''t afford to subscribe to Sky Sports. I HATE football and have no desire to watch either it or motor racing. I DO want to watch tennis and there is now a tennis channel. Why can't I just subscribe to this|????????????????
What more do you want to know.

Hi @Cwn
If you speak to Sky directly you should be able to subscribe to one Sports channel for £18 per month.
Obviously you still need the basic Q Signature package.

Re: new tennis channel - without having to subscribe to full sky sports
Hi, sorry no, not successful. All they could come up with was an offer to get the channel on its own at a cost of £18 a month which would have put my total subscription up to over £50 which I couldn't afford unless I discontinued my present atp and eurosport subscriptions.
This wasn't worth doing as I finally discovered that it doesn't cover the Grand Slams (nor should it), and only seemed to cover the ATP tour for the evening matches. It does, however, seem to be the ONLY way now to watch and ladies matches at all. I really am not happy with this.
But I have sacrificed watching women's tennis and have kept my ATP and Eurosport subscriptions going. Hope this helps anyone else enquiring.

Re: new tennis channel - without having to subscribe to full sky sports
I've just spent an hour on the phone with them. I've been a Sky subscriber for many years, and upgraded to Sky Q about 2 years ago. Being disabled, I now spend much more time watching TV than I did several years ago and because I get PIP am not as strapped for money as I used to be.
The upshot of all of this was that the price now for the Tennis channel is £20 per month, whereas the Sports package was only £2 more per month. I do enjoy watching football sometimes so I guess some of the extra channels will sometimes be welcome. Alternatively, I could rent out my living room to neighbours in this sheltered scheme who like sports but don't want a Sky subscription - if I can stand the shouty commentary ... 😉 Maybe you could consider opening up your living room as a venue for friends? (That's sort-of a joke, but not quite).

How much does it cost to get just tennis coverage

hi @Malcolm42
I am sorry I can't answer your specific query but I am not 100% sure that SKY do have a single channel subscription to SKY Tennis anymore.
One key thiing is that since the launch of SKY Sports+ app many additional /alternative tennis matches are only available via that and this definitely requires the full SKY Sports Subscription

A post from last April just up from yours said it was £20 per month, so probably around £22/£23 now

Re: new tennis channel - without having to subscribe to full sky sports
Sky only offer this on certain channels, and tennis is not one of them despite it being likely to be a single-option request for many customers (it sounds snobby but it's unlikely that someone who watches boxing and football and racing is into tennis).
In order to watch Roland Garros and the Australian Open, you need an ADDITIONAL sports package so you get TNT+, then you get Discovery+ premium which shows those grand slam matches. If Sky had got the rights from Discovery under their tennis channel then you could maybe consider getting it, but the lowest package for tennis is about £23 (as of 25 June 2025), and TNT+ is £31, so a whopping £54~ just for tennis. Unreal.
