have sky q and hybrid lnb can i use old hd box upstairs

hi i have sky q downstairs , i have a hybrid lnb and a spare sky plus hd box, can i watch and record on the hd box if i connect it and put it upstairs .

@montyfert simple answer is no you can't the lnb doesn't support older boxes and sky no longer sells subscriptions to any legacy services including recording functionality

hi @montyfert 

If you have a hybrid LNB & the 'Universal' outputs are connected to the leads where you want to use the SKY HD box then you can use the  the SKY HD bx to watch the Free to Air channels.live

You can't use the SKY HD box to record anything or to watch SKY channels once the account was switched to SKY

Recording is a subscription feature, and once there's a Q subscription at the address then any HD hardware is no longer covered by one.

The Q subscription also doesn't provide any non-free-to-air reception on HD hardware.
