My sky Q box has previously been ok running off wifi and I've used the ethernet port on the back to link it directly to a mini box via an ethernet cable (that's the only way I can get the mini box to work consistently). Now for some reason the Q box is struggling with the wifi so I've linked it directly to my router (a Friztbox supplied by Zen), now it works fine, but obviusly as the Q box only has one port I can no longer plug the mini box in. Could I use a switch before the port on the Q box that means so I can plug the router and the mini box in, or would that not work?
thanks!

Hi @Tim-A-E Yes, you can use gigabit unmanaged switches. I use 3 switches between my Main box and the Mini boxes. As you are connected to the Router, why not use the other ports for TVs etc, Best to turn off WiFi on all boxes.

Re: can the ethernet port on Q box be used for in and out?
I use a tiny switch powered by the USB port on the Q box itself...
