can I connect a Sky Q box to my TV without a cable

I want to move my TV to a different side of the room from all of the cable points coming in to the room.

Can I connect a Sky Q box to my TV without a cable?

Hi @SKate   Nope.  You can buy satellite extension leads to move the box as well.

Thanks - just been told I can do it with a Sky mini box plugged in to my Q box.... 

will see what that entails!

Not easily.  All Q boxes need an HDMI connection to the TV.

One option is leave the main box where it is and use a mini box - but requires a multiscreen subscription and there are some compromises such as no UHD support.  (Still need a HDMI lead to the TV)

The other option is a wireless HDMI sender/receiver but this are notoriously difficult to get working 100% without buying an expensive one.

Not plugged into your Q box.  See my previous post.

The mini acts as a wireless slave to the main box.

Hi @SKate   For a Mini box you need a Multiscreen subscription (if you don't have it already) which is an extra £15 a month (list price) plus probably a one off admin fee for the Mini box for £50.
