black screen with lines which then turns white

hi this is twice this has happened first time daughter was watxhing you tube i turned it of the tv screen went black with lines then turned white tried everything to reset the tv turned sky of at wall etc eventually it came back on we were watching a recording same thing happend picture froze had to turn sky box of at wall when it came on tv screen was black witn lines then it gradually spreads white across we still have sound cant reset the tv at all is the issue skyq? really fed up tv is only 19 months old
