Re: Zero sky loyalty for existing customers!!!

Not multi room or internet. Just the full tv package, sports and movies with kids etc at 38quid.  Everyone pas different and I've seen the offer letter, so it's real.  I had a good deal at 42, but it's now at 72 with sports/movies and multi room. I don't use sky internet, can't have it in my area.

Btw, the good offers only come from the vip team, you won't get this via calling sky customer service, they either call you out of the blue or you get a letter in the post.

Re: Zero sky loyalty for existing customers!!!

Nobody mentioned he was getting multi room or internet.

At huge discounts, you can get everything he is asking for if you threaten to cancel for £65. That's about the best recorded on these forums for signature, HD, Movies and sports.

I would love to see a copy of the letter in which he got it for £42, can use it as leverage.

It would essentially mean they gave him SKY Sports and SKY Movies for free near as damm

38, not 42

I bet no one is getting that today. I can't be bothered with it so pay 87 for cinema and multiroom, and sports can get lost since it became a money pump from fans to massively overpaid players/drivers. Cycling just got added to that list, sadly, and Sky had a part to play in that by starting the team budget inflation wars.

Re: Zero sky loyalty for existing customers!!!

After 25 years even with a full and real threat to cancel it came down to nothing like £38.

That's basically the price of basic + HD.

Re: Zero sky loyalty for existing customers!!!

The cheapest I got sky sports package for was 7quid a month via the vip team over 18 months ago, that deal expired now. Offered me sky movies for 5quid a month which comes to an end next month.

Happening to me too. It's a disgusting practice by Sky. I've paid for 25 years. Just about to cancel because EE can offer almost the same for £20 a month. Yes prices will increase but it'll take a long time to reach the £80 a month I'm paying for Sky. Best they could do was offer a 48m contract for Sky glass which I really do not want.

Yeah, I've had problems renewing, the price just keeps going up. Not willing to try and keep you anymore

Paying for 1 year or 25 years makes no difference. It's not national insurance 😉

They don't seem to care.
My mum has had Sky TV and Broadband for many years.
As a pensioner paying over £80 per month after the offers expired she wanted reduce costs and take Sky Stream and Broadband seeing an offer for 'new' customers' only at £35 per month.
We could not get this offer or get anything near that cost.
It's really terrible but typical I guess of today's large companies.
She has since cancelled the complete package.
I guess I will be in the same boat when my offers expire too.
Awful.

I had no issues at all taking out a new contract recently at the same price as my previous contract. All done in a 5 minute phone call to Customer Retentions.

For a stable mature business, you don't get growth (which sadly capitalism demands) by giving people the same stuff for less just because they've been a customer for a long time or are X years old.

Loyalty programmes (like airlines or supermarkets) are designed to extract more money out of you, not less.
