YouTube stuck on 480p SD definition for the last 3 weeks
Can anyone help please?
pur YouTube App on Sky Q has been stuck on a really low resolution for the last 3 weeks.
we've tried all suggestions that AI has come up with, and before I contact Sky just wondered if there's been an upgrade or similar that could have caused the issue.
weve upgraded the apps (001) and tried changing the setting on the Q box and TV etc. I think maybe the box is just too old now - I think we've had it around 8 years.

Re: YouTube stuck on 480p SD definition for the last 3 weeks
I think I would have recommended an apps refresh (which you have already done), then power cycling the Q box and the router/hub.
As you say, the Sky Q box you have is pretty long in the tooth, if you go into the YouTube app > Settings > App version, what is the version number at the top of the page?
Mine for comparison is web_20260503_19_RC00
Literally updated yesterday!
LG B6 OLED 55” | LG UP75 LCD 43” | sky Q | sky Mobile | VOXI Mobile | SONOS Beam 2 | Apple TV 4K | EE Full Works FTTC

Thanks for the reply. the app version is web_202060504_12_RC00.
From the date it seems maybe it was updated yesterday.
I think I'm going to have to get in touch with Sky and see if we can get a new box.
Thanks for taking the time to help, much appreciated.
