Re: YouTube on Sky Q "loading" after pausing..
I was very frustrated when I wrote my previous post this morning as you can probably tell? 🤣
Anyway, 2 coffees in I have calmed down and have a new box and engineer on the way. Hopefully I get a newer unit so I can treat myself to iPlayer content in HLG HDR.

Just to say, i am having this problem too. I have had the box replaced, and i have a network cable running across the room, as one suggestion was it was a issue with WiFi.
I'm also very keen to find a solution

Re: YouTube on Sky Q "loading" after pausing..
Right, the YouTube app has updated on my Sky Q box.
It doesn't look very different at first, but once a video starts playing, and you press pause, or up, or down, you can tell it looks quite different.
And the pause issue appears to have gone, for me, at least.
For now, atleast.

Mine has been working perfectly for a while now, I still have the original hardware so the software must have been corrected at last. Well done everyone involved!

Re: YouTube on Sky Q "loading" after pausing..
Yep, the latest app version released on the 5th seems to have done the trick.
In the YouTube app head to Settings > App version and (assuming I haven't got the month/day round the wrong way), the latest version is web_20250805_16RC01.
You can always try an app refresh in the installer menu if you don't have it yet.

Re: YouTube on Sky Q "loading" after pausing..
I am so used to rewinding before playing I had almost forgotten about this! I tried pausing-playing a couple of times and, so far, no problem. App version 20250805_16_RC01 so very recent and plausible it may have fixed the problem. Am not holding my breath though atm!

Hi all,
As users have mentioned above, following an update to the YouTube app (version web_20250729_16RC00), we believe this has resolved the issues reported with the pause behaviour.
Thank you again for your patience and for raising this on the Sky Community.
