YouTube app now only outputs stereo pcm

For the last few weeks my YouTube app only outputs stereo pcm. It used to give me doby digital just like all the other apps. I've tried resetting it, refreshing the apps and resetting the sky q box but it's still pcm stereo.. what have I done wrong? All the other apps are fine,i get Atmos etc where available etc

Have you checked that surround sound is an option within the app itself?

Basically if the option doesn't exist then you are stuck with stereo output. This will likely be a Google decision, perhaps they have disabled it for a while why they sort out some of the other playback issues they have had with the app on Q?
