Will sky Q mini box continue to work as extender/booster with 3rd party ISP

I have Sky Q and two mini boxes. I currently have sky internet but am changing to new ISP. Will the tv boxes continue to work as WiFi boosters for the new ISP?

@Neilwr yes but you will have to turn the feature on under settings and it will only boost the 2.4Ghz as thats what your main box will connect to with a third party broadband

I may be a Sky Superuser but I am still just a Sky customer

Sky Q 2 TB (Silver)Box, 2 Mini boxes since June 2016, all connected by wifi
Sky Broadband Hub/SR203, Sky Ultrafast broadband
Ultimate on Demand, Q Experience/UHD, Sky Sports, Sky Cinema
LG 49SJ 810 V UHD TV, Google Pixel 7 Pro mobile

Thanks. Will having them wired improve the signal? They are wired but the connection/connector at the back isn't 'lit' which makes me think the engineer didn't switch it on - I presume they can be wired and work as boosters?

the router (old and new) is in a different room from the main sky box. The new router only has one output so I think I need a switch to connect it up, assuming wiring will improve the performance.

@Neilwr there are no lights on the ethernet ports on the Q boxes

I think the option may be in the engineers menu on the main Q box so if you cannot find it in the normal settings try in the engineers menu

To enter the engineers menu do the following
press the home button then scroll down to settings and hi-light
do not press select/enter but press 001 then select this takes you into the engineers menu

don't know if they can use ethernet backhaul as a wifi hotspot. Suspect not (partly because I had to disable wifi on mine) but you never know.

A single LAN port router is very unusual too. Maybe it's an ONT and needs a router, what ISP is that?

It's Brillband, using an Amazon Eero 6 router. The router has two ports - but one is for the input so only one spare to connect a Sky box/mini too.
