Re: WiFi and mini box in garden room

Ok - If I  ran an ethernet cable from router to Sky Q box would it work, does Sky q work with Sky Max hub via ethernet? trying to work out a solution to get internet and Sky Q in the house and to a garden room/shed 15-20 m from the house

If the main Q box is also on Ethernet then yes this is better @HOOPERT

Ok - would that be router out into Sky Q (2m distance) via short cat 6 cable? would I have to do that with the other mini in the houe (upstairs) or can that still access Q via wifi? presumambly this will not affect the wifi signal in the house as that is generated from the new Sky max hub.

hi @HOOPERT
Ethernet to the main Q box from the router should guarantee the function of the Ethernet mini in your garden room.

With a normal Sky router the house mini would work on WiFi.

However with the max router I just don't know if the house mini would work on WiFi.

Ideal situation is all Q box connected to the router by Ethernet either directly or via simple unmanaged Ethernet switches.  in this case all Q boxes WiFi can be turned off.
