Why is software updating every morning taking 15 mins

Every morning when I go to turn on tv I can't do anything until software update performed. It's every morning. Takes around 15-20 mins. So annoying.

Is this happening at about 0545? If so see this link regarding the Sky Q standby settings and adjust them if you wish

Yes between 5 am and 6. I have around 10 mins to sit with a cuppa and watch the news but never can as it immediately goes to update

As per the link, change it from eco to none.

Thank you so much. Have changed it to active see if that helps. But now know how to change it if I need to.

Have no answer but mine  has behaved normally since we upgraded to sky extra about 3 yrs ago  .It's extremely irritating Why is it happening?
