Why is it so easy to increase my sky package but nearly impossible to reduce it.

Your site makes it very easy to increase my package but very difficult to reduce it.
I want to cancel my HD , there is nowhere on your site that I can find to allow me to do this.

Sky TV
~ To remove part of your package you’ll need to contact Sky giving the required notice of 31 days. Note: the latest T’s and C’s explicitly state you cannot cancel within the minimum term and the contract can only be cancelled if Sky agree to it. If they do agree you’ll end up paying off the rest of the discounted term.
Select ‘Need more help’ at the bottom of the following link which will lead to contact details.

(Make sure the flag in the bottom right corner is the correct one ie; UK or ROI).
UK customer ~ The link may include an email link and also a Message Us option (which is normally available between 9am and 7.30pm).
ROI customer ~ it’s only by calling Sky Ireland or writing in.

@Dave+cooper+265 Afraid you are not contacting Sky's customer services on here, this is a customer to customer forum where customers help each other.

You will need to contact Sky to downgrade /remove a service

You can contact Sky by phone by dialling 150 if Sky is your phone provider or by following the link below
https://www.sky.com/help/home
scroll down to need more help click on this and you will find a phone number. If you are in ROI please change the flag at the bottom right to the ROI flag
