Why is Sky cinema more expensive on Sky subscription than the same service on now tv.

As part of my Sky Q subscription  I pay £13 a month for Sky Cinema on a two year minimum term. Comparing the same service from now tv it £9.99 on a rolling month subscription. Even less if you have there 12 months deal. Sky say we get Paramout at no extra cost if we have Sky Cinema, something we don't get if you have though now tv. But in reality the extra cost would only  a pound or so of what we paying for Sky cinema  subscription, and we would not be tie in for a minimum term. I would that thought having a Sky subscription the price should be cheaper  than what is charged on now. I hardly watch Sky movies any way,  as I mainly watch Netflix and prime video these days with a bit of paramount+. When  my minimum term is up, unfortunately not for another year I am seriously considering give Sky the elbow speacaly if I have to go over to Sky stream any way.I might well a cheap streaming stick and I think I  would get most of what I get now without paying Sky £157 a month. If I want a  Sky service may be sport Ican use now tv when and if I see something I want watch there on a month by month basis, even that way I think I will be quids in.

Strange, I only pay £9 for movies.

Sky are under no obligation to compete with Now.  Nothing stopping you having both.

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own even if you don't like the answers

True I have always thought of now tv as being Sky under a different name both operations offer the same services though the  entainment channels may be less, but as far as movies and sport the programming is the same except you don't. have  red button facility  with now. To me now tv  and sky are one and the same animal. Up till now Sky have been satellite service where as Now tv a steaming service of the same product. Now that Sky is also becoming a streaming service it will technically be competing with it self. To me if I have to choose I think I will go with now tv . For one reason,  cost you don't have spend out £40 month for entainment channels you  never want to watch just to get movies and sport. With now you can just take want you want when you want no commitment. The other reason is I don't know how well the sky stream puck will work with my internet I know steaming service I subscribe to work well.  I gather the sky stream system is less tolerant than these. Am Iprepared to lay out over £100 per month on two year minimum term on  system that may not work to well with my internet. If I  stuck with it for that period. However to take out a now tv monthly roll over contract all Ineed is a cheap streaming stick , you can get them less than £20 theredays I know my other streaming service will work on them, as if I don't have  problem with them on the  apps on the Q box why would be any different on one of those. Then I can try Sky from now tv , if it works ok fine but  if I get streaming problems don't continue monthly subscription with now tv  and I haven't lot much or any thing.

Now TV has no UHD right? As far as I know.

I pay £19 for sky cinema but I don't have sports or any lockin period.

@Chodley NowTV does have UHD, it's an add on that costs £9 a month.
