Why doesn't Sky keep a backup of the recording schedule (and favourite channels)?
Our SkyQ hard disk failed, and Sky delivered a new one (very quickly, top marks for that).
I can understand why Sky doesn't keep a backup of all our recordings.... but I cannot understand why doesn't have a backup for our scheduled recordings list!
It's bad enough trying to remember what we record every week, but there's also those shows that are not on air at the moment for which we had a "series record" set so that they'd automatically start recording when a new series starts.
If privacy is a concern, they could make it an opt-in service.

@dannageo I think the simple answer is that the data on the Q box is not saved to the cloud, so in these cases you lose all info.

If you go onto the Geektown website you can browse through programmes alphabetically and request an email for when a new series is about to start showing time, date and channel. The email usually arrives 7-10 days before the programme starts.
