Sky wants £50 off me for another Sky Q mini box, but I already subscribe for multi screen!

@Shipas Because sky charges a non refundable loan fee for each mini box ordered

the fact you have a subscription doesn't come into it

Yup, it's annoying but you won't get one if you don't pay it...

As above, you are not purchasing the box - it has to be returned if you cancel your subscription.

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own even if you don't like the answers

Typically the first Mini box doesn't have this up-front fee, but each subsequent one (up to three more) does do so. One reason would be that Sky isn't gaining any additional monthly income but has to cover the manufacturing and distribution cost of the hardware.
