Why can’t I get through to speak to someone????
I want to speak to somebody about
1. why my boxes constantly use network connection even when I have 100 Meg internet.
2. why I suddenly can't access sky sci fi and I'm being told to upgrade?

I'm afraid your first question doesn't make any sense?
For the second question, can you get channel 108 (Sky Atlantic)? If not then that suggests that the viewing card has been removed entirely or perhaps not put back correctly (or possibly dirty contacts or just failed).
The card is behind a pop down flap at the front of HD boxes (in some there isn't a flap) or at the right hand side in Q boxes (main box only). Push in and it'll pop out, clean the gold contact area carefully with a lint free clean cloth. Push back in, gold contact down for HD boxes, gold contact up for Q boxes with the contact closest to the box ( there should be an arrow).
If you still have issues (especially not getting channel 108) then phone Sky as it may be a failed card.
