When decorating rooms can I disconnect my box(es) for a few days without startup issues ?
How long can sky be disconnected without start up issues say when decorating a room for a few days ?

A few days off will not cause any issues.
Boxes will need to reboot when switched back on and will take a few minutes to start.

Watch out for the satellite cable ends though: these need protection from water/paint/dust and also accidental damage from being stepped on
