When I turn on the skyq box nothing comes onto the TV but sound comes out of the speakers

I have just moved the box away from the tv and used a 5m 4k hdmi cable, sometimes works sometimes doesn't. 

Mostly when turning on the box from standby,  the tv comes on but says no signal do I want to turn the set top box on!!

The lead is too long - maximum recommended for passive lead is 3m.
