Looking to use my Sky Q via Mini Box on a vintage TV set. Does anyone know if the AV analog output jack delivers 4x3 or 16x9 when viewing 4x3 material SD on Sky. I looked at a freeview solution which said it was compatible with 4x3 tvs and it simply took the 16x9 Pillar Box Black Bars and added Letterbox black bars resulting in a tiny image surrounded by a thick black frame. Can anyone advise? I know analog is a dirty word in UK nowadays and 4K is hip but with virtually no broadcasting in the UK. Still watching old tv on an old tv brings back the whole experience of TV from the 60's, even though in Britain we only got Colour at the end of the decade. Thanks

I just fed my mini into my (1980's) 6" analogue TV/Monitor & it would seem to be the 16:9 signal which gets compressed to fit a 4:3 screen (no black bars so tall & thin)
I tried looking at just one channel - Drama which is broadcasting a 4:3 programme but the channel I think added the black bars at the side so was still a 16:9 signal
