As in a 2Tb rather than a 1Tb? They're physically the same size box, just the storage capacity that's different.

Give Sky a ring and they'll be able to sort it out. There's usually a charge of £99 but it can vary.

...and note Q boxes aren't yours.  They are all owned by Sky and have to be returned if you cancel your subscription.

Any fees to 'upgrade' the box are non-returnable.

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own even if you don't like the answers

The 1TB box is the default box nowadays. You may find the 2TB boxes in short supply.

Or Sky may simply deny such things exist ; )

Re: Want to order new large q box

I've just got 2 Sky Mini boxes and multiroom but it's saying I can only watch one at once. A thread suggests this is because I only have a 1TB Q Box. Would Sky upgrade to a 2TB in these circumstances?

You'll have an old 1TB box. The original 1TB (non-UHD) Sky Q box only allows one mini to be in use. To check if you have the non UHD 1TB box check in:-
Home - Settings - System Info - Hardware Version
If it shows as 32Cxxx then you have a non UHD 1TB that only supports 1 active mini box.

All 2TBs and the UHD/HDR 1TB permit two mini boxes. Each mini box which is loaned to you may be subject to a one off upfront charge but you only need one Sky Q monthly Multiscreen subscription.
