Volume issue, every time I turn volume up or down it says the words

Every time I turn volume up or down I get the TV saying the words up and down, how do I stop it

This sounds like some form of accessibility setting for the partially sighted on your TV, it doesn't sound like a feature of Sky Q. 

Use your TV remote (not Sky Q remote) to have a look at the TV settings menu. There should be a section called Accessibility. See if there is something called voice guidance or similar in there and make sure it is turned off.

Sky Q Sky Glass Sky Stream have this feature it's called Voice Guidance 

It could be a setting on the tv as you have explained @SlenderRobert but it's also a setting on the Sky products above.

Yes Sky Q voice guidance is great, but it does not do any up/down volume reporting.
That would be the TV doing anything like that.

Its normally called Talkback or similar and will be in the TV accessibilty settings.
