Voice Control on Remote says - you are not connected to the internet !

The sky broadband has been fine & has not stopped.  However the VOICE control on the remote, comes up with the screen box - but when you speak, it says you are not connected to the internet.

We have tried resetting everything & oressing the WPS on the Sky Q box - but nothing happens, the orange light just flashes on & off but doesnt go green..

We have tried resestting our Sky Broadband & that doesnt make it work either, but the broadband simply deosnt want to link to the TV box - cant find what to do ...

@Chollies60 when you are pressing the wps button on the Q box are you also pressing the wps button on the router

Hi,

 

Well i had spent days searching for one - but coudn't find it on the router - i have just thought again & have found it on the side of the router not on the front with everything else - thank you SO much, will give it a try now. !

@Chollies60 yeah the new upright router(the sky broadband hub) has it on the right hand side of it 😄

Sadly that didnt work !  It looks like it is going to - but doesnt the lights on both router & the SkyQ flash amber & then - nothing !

Look s like a call to SKY !  Joy

@Chollies60 i know its a pain but i've had occasions where reconnecting mine and its taken 3 or 4 attempts to connect may be worth while trying another couple of times

Try doing this;

 

Restart your Sky Q box

  1. Press standby on your Sky Q remote, then switch off or unplug it at the mains.
  2. Check there're no lights on the front panel of your Sky Q box and all cables are securely connected.
  3. Plug in and switch your Sky Q box back on at the mains.
  4. Wait for the on-screen instructions to disappear then press Home on your Sky Q remote.
    Make sure the tv guide is populated on your Sky Q box, may take a few minutes.

Restart your router

  1. Switch off or unplug your router at the mains socket.
  2. Check there are no lights on the front of your router.
  3. Reconnect the power cable or plug in and switch your router back on at the mains. Check the power light has returned.

It can take a few minutes for the internet connection to restart.

Once you've restarted both your box and router, try connecting your box via Wi-Fi again.

  1. Press Home on your Sky Q remote, then go to Settings followed by Setup.
  2. Select Network and then select Reset (if Reset is not visible, move to Step 4 below).
  3. Wait for the Sky Q box to check your network, then select Confirm.
  4. Once the reset is complete, choose Connect to Sky Broadband WiFi and follow the on-screen instructions to connect your Sky Q box to your Sky hub.
