Does the vibration stop if you press down on the top of the box? Sometimes if the box has been refurbished or poorly manufactured in the first place the screws holding the metal lid on can sometimes not be tightened enough. Similarly, the hard drive may not have been secured well enough.
If the vibration does stop with a bit of pressure then you could put a heavy-ish ornament on top of the box. As long as it doesn't completely cover the box it should be safe enough as heat needs to dissipate from the top.
Alternatively you can buy small rubber feet that you can stick to the bottom of the box - this can help with some types of vibration.
If this all sounds like too much faff, you can of course ring Sky and ask for another Q box. They shouldn't really vibrate at all.
