Very slow, unable to record or play recordings, films very slow to load, possible hard drive issue ? There is plenty of space, recordings are not full

Error msg on catch-up unable to connect, can watch BBC, etc ok, films very slow, won't play recordings, have restarted box several times, have had this issue for 3 days now.

Would suggest you try resetting your hard drive, as described in this Sky Q article, link below, from Step2
Would recommend, restarting the box on Step 1 before following the reset on step2.

As it mentions in the article. Be aware: resetting your hard drive will permanently delete all recordings, downloads, purchases downloaded to your Q box, reminders and series links.

have followed the instructions as per guidance.
tried step 1 several times but no impact.
have done the reset on step 2 so have wiped everything, but still unable to record so think its an issue with the box itself.....

The last link in the reset process is to order a replacement box.

If you have tried resetting hard drive, as per the Sky help article linked below and still having problems, you can via that link in the article request a replacement Sky Q box;

Be aware, that when the courier delivers your new replacement Sky Q box and takes away your broken box, make sure you remove your current Sky viewing card from the broken box to use in your new replacement box.
