Hi since December I cannot download and watch a UHD movie. I selected the movie then have to wait until it's downloaded 30 to 33% before it appears in recorded items to start watching. It did work fine until very recently. I have 200mbs broadband. And have tried resetting the box. Any other ideas ??

Just a theory / hunch but try powering the mini off completely and resetting the network on the Q and trying again. Leave the mini off.
Are the Q and router close enough for a decent wifi connection?

Yes within 6m I'm getting a 40- 60 mbs on the wifi that the sky box is on.
Everything worked as expected until recently. I was wondering if an update could have caused the issue.
I will give it a go then report back
thanks

Just to check the router-internet connection I would test a direct ethernet connection. If that works well then maybe there is some conflicting wifi channel interference. You can sniff out wifi networks and see their strength and channels in use using Airport Utility on an iphone. Android will have similar.

I'm getting 40-60mbps on the wifi the Q is connected to. The odd thing about the problem is that the movie is not playable until it's over 30% downloaded which seems to take over an hour. Before this issue the movie would play at 2or3 %.

I have noticed that when I try to download UHD the mini is disconnected from the Q and can only be reconnected by doing a full reset.

Yes that's because it estimates how much it needs to buffer now so that once you start watching it won't have to pause mid-movie. The slower the download is, the bigger the percentage downloaded before it will say it's ready to start playing.
Have you tried testing a direct connection or scanning for interfering wifi networks as per above?
The mini disconnect is weird but maybe another symptom of whatever the underlying problem is.

Theres another thread about this. I have a 900/900 fibre connection. Im attempting to download a UHD movie just now. Its downloading between 5-10 Mb/s. Such a bad experience. Its does vary. Maybe depending on time of day. Ive had 80 -100 Mb/s just a week ago. Must be Sky skimping on their servers.
