Hi
This is variation to the normal Apple TV+ trial sign up saga.
Signed up a few months ago and now able to watch on TV, Firestick and other devices. However, unable to sign into the app with my ITunes credentials on my wife’s iPad. (My iPad old and on the blink, so want to watch in bedroom on newer device)
I’ve signed her out of the app (trial in my name not hers), and then logged in with my details. However, keeps defaulting to the normal Apple Tv* app screen, where you’re invited to cough up the £6.99 pm.
Does she have to actually log out of iTunes in her phone settings for this to work?
(My wife previously had Apple TV +)
Hope that makes sense.
Thanks

Easiest thing to do would be to set up Family Sharing on your Apple ID - this allows you to share Apple service subscriptions between family members, even if only one of you subscribes. I do this with my other half so she can watch Apple TV+ on her iPhone.

Thanks. Problem doesn't apply with other Netflix, Prime, Disney +, where you just use your credentials on someone elses's device. Only Apple TV where you get embroiled with the dreaded iTunes log in.

Yeah it's because an Apple device is designed to be activated and used with a single Apple ID. An Apple subscription service like Apple TV+ or Apple Music or Apple Fitness+ can only be shared with others in your assigned family.
Otherwise it's the same as you sharing your Sky Go or Prime, Netflix or Disney+ login with some random friends who can then use your subscription without paying for it.
