Upgraded to Sky Q but Sky deactived my Sky+ HD cards until the installation date 1 month from now!

I have Sky+ HD with 3 multiscreen subscriptions and we've had it for years. We upgraded to Sky Q and it's due to be installed 1 month from now at my request. But for some reason Sky disabled all our multiscreens due to an account glitch or something so I only have 1 working Sky+ HD box until then. 

 

We've called Sky multiple times but they were unable to re-activate our multiscreens and said that even if we cancel Sky Q then we can't go back to Sky+ HD even though our Sky+ HD boxes are working perfectly fine. I find that strange since we had Sky+ HD before we ordered Sky Q so why can't we get it back again?

 

We've been without our multiscreens for several days. We now have to wait to speak to the Sky Scotland managers, both of whom only work on 4 days of the week so we have to wait until Sunday to speak to them now!

 

Is it true you can't go back to Sky+ HD if you've ordered Sky Q? We haven't even had Sky Q installed yet.

 

I wonder if we can get Sky to just cancel the whole contract since in they're in breach of contract for cancelled our multiscreens without our say so and just get them to sign us up as a new customer and re-order everything?

We know that SKY won't revert anyone to SKY HD once SKY is installed but there probably  should be no reason why they can't get your existing multiroom boxes to work until it is installed (but I am only guessing & it is likely to be fiddly at their end)

 

I think you may need to read some notes I have made for people considering mgrating especially the elements regarding multiscreen

SKY +/HD to SKY Q 

 

SKy might consider allowing you to cancel completely but you will not be allowed to go back to SKY HD
